Tatanka er en poetisk og smuk oplevelse, som p\u00e5 det varmeste kan anbefales.<\/p>\n<h2>Kevin Costner, Tatanka og Lakota<\/h2>\n<p>Skaberen bag Tatanka er ingen ringere end skuespilleren Kevin Costner. Tatanka best\u00e5r af store bronzeskulpturer af en gruppe bisonokser, som bliver indfanget af en gruppe indianere. Og s\u00e5 er der en r\u00e6kke sp\u00e6ndende udstillinger. Udstillinger vedr\u00f8rende bisonokser og indianere der levede p\u00e5 The Great Plains. Udstillingerne er en del af Northern Plains Peoples Educational Interpretive Center. Og snup en bid mad eller en snack p\u00e5 stedets restaurant.<\/p>\n<h2>Da livet p\u00e5 The Great Plains blev \u00e6ndret<\/h2>\n<p>Den hvide mands indtog i USA reducerede bisnokserne fra millioner til p\u00e5 et tidspunkt blot omkring 1.000 vilde bisonokser. Tatanka betyder &#8220;Big Beast&#8221; og refererer til bisonolkser p\u00e5 det sprog Lakota indianerne taler. Lakota indianerne var dybt afh\u00e6ngige af Tatanka. De anvendte bisonokser som f\u00f8de, til bekl\u00e6dningsgenstande, til redskaber og endda til at bygge boliger.
